The full benefit of a yoga practice was revealed to me when I discovered yoga in the tradition of TKV Desikachar, widely known as viniyoga. I had previously attended yoga classes, in a variety of different styles, on an ad-hoc basis. Attending my first class in this tradition, I realised I had found what I was looking for: yoga for the body, breath and mind.
The hallmark of this approach, integrating breath with movement and modified postures for individual needs, resonated with me and continues to be a life-enhancing practice.
I have been greatly inspired by my teachers, Jenny Bullough, Mike Young, Ranju Roy and Dave Charlton. They have illuminated the path of yoga for me through their insightful teachings.
